Buy Holiday Shoes in Paris

This holiday season’s hottest shoe trends with House of Fraser.
The Christmas period might finally be over but is influence is still felt in January sales and in our pronounced weariness with...shopping. Uff. It seems the whole of December was spent in and out of supermarkets, department stores, the Perfume Shop, last-minute service stations, grocers and the interminable online check-outs….

And whilst it can be difficult to muster the desire to even go near anything resembling a transaction – as if there aren’t enough already in our lives – it nevertheless remains fact that, especially at this time of year, new shoes and sturdy boots are in order.
And so if you are looking for some new womens shoes there’s every reason that this holiday season you should go for something special as well as something sensible.

Indeed, for many of us, we choose to celebrate holidays later on in the year. As Christmas has become such an expensive time to travel, late winter and early spring have become prime city-break times, with a weekend in Paris or catching the first spring sun in the south of France, becomes a distinct possibility.

Holiday Shoes

Hot holiday shoe trends this year combine a desire for a little luxury with prioritization of quality and longevity. Knee-length boots are making a return, bustling alongside the domination of the ankle boot in 2011.

Designers are less keen on a patent or treated leather right now – instead, think long, equestrian-style shape with more rustic or natural finishes – a soft, dark brown leather, or a grey suede for a more urban-friendly look.

Indeed, a soft suede look is a lovely treat for a holiday shoe, and this season you’ll find plenty to go wild over. Pied a Terre and Kurt Geiger (my favourite!) are giving the vertiginous heels – making them a great accompaniment to a stylish shift dress and opaque tights for a holiday dinner or trip to the theatre. For those who prefer a harder-wearing holiday, black flat ankle boots with buckles and belts are the order of the day
